WSACT President

Welcome to the official website of the Washington State Association of County Treasurers (WSACT). Your County Treasurer serves you by managing and safeguarding public monies in each of the 39 counties while also serving as Treasurer for most tax districts such as fire, park, school, and port districts. Of the 39 counties in Washington, 38 Treasurers are elected and one is appointed; please visit the links on this website to learn more about the important role the County Treasurer serves in your community.

The mission of WSACT is to advocate, mentor, and support the creation of effective treasury management systems which honor the public trust.

We accomplish this by:

  • Developing and sponsoring legislation that is responsive to the needs of our customers.
  • Promoting ethical and professional standards.
  • Providing peer support and education for Treasurers and their staffs.
  • Working collaboratively with other government entities and associations.
  • Participating in certification and training programs that enhance the professionalism of your County Treasurer.
