[ARCHIVED] Check Out Auction Items Available at Wednesday’s Banquet!

WACO’s 64th Annual Conference kicks off on Tuesday, and we couldn’t be more excited to have so many members registered and planning to come both in-person and virtually. This conference plans to be one of the best ones yet, with incredibly valuable keynotes, trainings, and education breakouts – not to mention, it’s a great chance to see everyone you’ve missed over the last few years!

One attendee-favorite event is the Wednesday night banquet. The banquet features an award ceremony celebrating the service of retiring county officials, a performance from Spokane’s own Riddler Piano Bar (featuring a drummer – and all three performers sing!), and an important silent auction that will help raise proceeds for the Washington Counties Scholarship Fund.

This year’s auction has some notably fantastic items that are up for auction. Here are just a few of the goodies that you’ll be able to bid on come Wednesday night. *Keep in mind, that the auction is a silent, in-person auction this year – but that doesn’t mean that virtual attendees can’t participate! Just ask one of your friends attending the auction to bid for you if there’s any item you’d like.

Since 1993 the Washington Counties Scholarship Fund has awarded over $310,000 to eligible students, and this is only possible due to the generosity of WACO members. The Washington Counties Scholarship Fund provides multiple scholarships annually to eligible children of county employees and county elected officials (assessors, auditors, clerks, coroners, medical examiners, prosecutors, sheriffs, and treasurers), and in order to continue we need your support. 
 
Come bid at the auction next Wednesday night, make a basket to add to the auction, or simply donate directly to the Washington Counties Scholarship Fund through our Venmo account. Every dollar enables us to continue this valuable scholarship fund that helps the children of local counties pursue further education.

The Banquet & Fundraiser will take place as part of the WACO Annual Conference on Wednesday, September 28th from 6:00PM – 8:00PM in-person and streamed through our virtual platform. (Come prepared with song requests for Riddler Bar Dueling Pianos!)
