Washington Association of County Officials aims to offer online, in-depth resources and training on key topics instrumental to your role as an newly elected county official. These topics can be explored any time by navigating the tabs below. Training is regularly updated, so check back often!

Once again, WACO and the Washington State Association of Counties are pleased to be presenting the Newly Elected Officials Conference - a training conference from December 5th -8th at the Olympia Hotel in Olympia.

Attending newly electeds will gain tools necessary to transition into public service with confidence, learn the key aspects of being a successful part of local government, acquire knowledge about the fundamental issues, and connect with other elected officials around the state. They will also meet the staff and hear more about the resources available through WACO and WSAC. There is no registration cost for newly elected officials and officials elected or appointed after January 2019. WACO members elected 2018 or prior are welcome to attend the NEO conference for networking and recertification/training at the member rate of $350.
