Is your son or daughter heading off to college next year? Looking for a little relief from rising tuition costs? The Washington Counties Scholarship Fund knows that every little bit helps.
The Washington Counties Scholarship Fund will be accepting applications for the 2020/21 academic year beginning March 1, 2020. The fund awards up to three $3,000 scholarships to eligible children of county employees and county elected officials in the following offices assessors, auditors, clerks, coroners, medical examiners, prosecutors, sheriffs, and treasurers.
Recipients must be full-time students in a baccalaureate degree, associate degree, or vocational/technical certification program.
Funds for the scholarship are provided by members of the Washington Association of County Officials (WACO). Since 1993 the fund has awarded over $285,000 to eligible students.
