OLYMPIA – The Washington Association of County Officials have announced the appointment of Lewis County Sheriff Rob Snaza to its Board of Trustees. Snaza was nominated to the board by the Washington State Sheriffs Association following the departure of Pend Oreille County Sheriff Alan Botzheim.
Sheriff Robert Snaza is the 38th elected sheriff of Lewis County - holding that position since January 2015. Sheriff Snaza has been in law enforcement for 28 years, the last 23 years has been with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office serving in various capacities from Deputy and D.A.R.E Officer, to Patrol Sergeant and Undersheriff, before being elected as Sheriff.
Under his leadership the motto for the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is, “Public Safety through Professional Service.” The Sheriff’s vision for his office is to be committed to excellence in being a trusted, respected, and professional public safety agency. This is demonstrated through the Sheriff’s Office Mission of being a committed community partner.
