Applicaitons for the 2017 Counties Scholarship Fund will begin March 1, 2017.
Is your son or daughter heading off to college next year? Looking for a little relief from rising tuition costs? The Washington Counties Scholarship Fund knows that every little bit helps.The Washington Counties Scholarship Fund is now accepting applications for the 2017/18 academic year. The fund awards up to five $3,000 scholarships to eligible children of county employees and county elected officials.
Recipients must be full-time students in a baccalaureate degree, associate degree, or vocational/technical certification program.
Applicants are encouraged to verify that their institution accepts GET credits as scholarships are awarded in this form only.
Funds for the scholarship are provided by members of the Washington Association of County Officials (WACO) and the Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC). Since 1993 the fund has awarded over $205,000 to eligible students.
