While traveling from the summer customer service workshop in Wenatchee, Kittitas County Clerk Val Barschaw and Sarah Gann rescued a loose horse beside Highway 97; returning it safely back to its stable.
Sarah was able to capture the event on camera. The lesson learned is that your service as an elected official, staff member, or member of the community does not end at the door to the courthouse, but extends outside the office.
